| Reverse description | Large heraldic shield of distinctive curved form with three lobed projections at the base, surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The shield bears the quartered coat of arms of Bohemia and Hungary as the primary charges, with a smaller inescutcheon at center displaying the arms of Austria and Castile. The composition is enclosed within a double inner circle, and the surrounding Latin legend, divided by the crown above the shield, incorporates the two- or four-digit date split on either side of the crown. The engraving reflects the sophisticated Renaissance heraldic style associated with early Joachimsthal coinage. |
