Reverse description The arms of the Swabian Circle — a shield charged with three passant lions arranged in pale — set within an elaborate baroque cartouche of foliate and scroll ornament with decorative sprays flanking the sides. The date 1694 is divided by the mintmaster's initials at the base of the cartouche. The circular Latin legend surrounds the composition along the entire periphery, with a milled border at the rim.
