| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large, elaborately quartered heraldic shield bearing the manifold arms of Abbess Dorothea of Quedlinburg, displaying multiple charges including lions, eagles, and the crossed swords of Saxony, all rendered in high relief. The achievement is surmounted by three ornate crested helmets with mantling flowing to either side, the central helmet bearing a ducal crown. A circular Latin legend runs along the entire periphery within a beaded border, attributing the arms to Dorothea, Duchess of Saxony and Abbess of Quedlinburg. |
