| Obverse description | Central design features an armored Saint George on horseback slaying a dragon, with the helmeted shield of the old Mansfeld arms superimposed upon the equestrian figure. The knight is depicted in dynamic profile, lance directed downward toward the vanquished dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The Mansfeld quartered arms, surmounted by a crested helm, occupy the center of the composition. The encircling Latin legend reads CHRISTOPHORVS CO E D I MAN, identifying the issuing count, separated by pellet stops. |
