Obverse description Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the joint counts Christof Friedrich and Jost Christian of Stolberg, flanked by ornate acanthus mantling, with the mintmaster's initials IIG divided at the base. Reverse description A stag passant to the left stands before a classical column on a rectangular plinth, rendered in high relief. The scene alludes to the mining industry of the County of Stolberg. The encircling legend reads as a pious invocation for the prosperity of the county's mines, interrupted by a small six-pointed star at the base. The reeded border frames the composition neatly, consistent with milled Baroque Thaler coinage.
