| Obverse description | Armored bust of Christian William of Brandenburg facing right, wearing a ruff collar and elaborately engraved cuirass with pauldrons, rendered in fine relief characteristic of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the figure depicted from approximately the waist upward. A continuous beaded inner border frames the design, with the full circumferential Latin legend arranged around the periphery. The portrait displays a bearded face with short hair, conveying the dignity of an ecclesiastical administrator and prince of the Holy Roman Empire. |
