| Reverse description | A winged angel stands upright to the right, leaning against a large crowned baroque cartouche bearing the quartered arms of Solms-Laubach impaled with those of Ysenburg, the shield surmounted by a count's coronet. To the right in the middle ground, a detailed depiction of Laubach Castle is engraved in perspective view. The encircling Latin legend commemorates Christian August, Count of Solms, and identifies the deceased as his beloved consort, mother of two sons and two daughters. In the lower exergue, separated by a horizontal line, the inscription REL. 2. FIL. ET / 2. FILIAS. appears in two lines. |
