Reverse description A seated allegorical female figure representing the Augsburg Confession is depicted in the center of the field, draped in flowing robes and holding aloft a document inscribed AVG. CONF. toward a radiant all-seeing eye of Providence emanating rays from above. She rests her arm on a Bible placed upon a stone pedestal inscribed BIBEL, while the base of her seat bears the inscription ART. SWORAC. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads ILLAE SUNT QVAE TESTIFICANTVR DE ME within a beaded border. In the exergue, a three-line inscription reads FELICITAS• SEC•II• / AVG•CONF• / V•, commemorating the second centenary of the presentation of the Augsburg Confession.
