| Obverse description | Draped bust of Bishop Charles III Joseph of Lorraine facing right, wearing a richly ornamented clerical vestment with elaborate lace cravat, his hair styled in a long curled periwig typical of the late Baroque period. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the drapery and wig. The circular Latin legend is divided around the bust reading D G CAROLVS EPVS OLOMVCEN, identifying him as Bishop of Olomouc by the grace of God. A beaded inner border frames the design. |

| Reverse description | Crowned oval heraldic shield bearing the quartered arms of Lorraine and Bar, elaborately framed with foliate and acanthus scrollwork, set upon a cross pattée extending to the coin's inner border with decorative sprays in the angles. The date 17-01 is divided within the arched crown surmounting the shield. The circular Latin legend, reading DVX LOTHAR & BAR S R I PCP S R C B COM, records Charles's titles as Duke of Lorraine and Bar, Prince of the Holy Roman Empire, and Count. A beaded inner border surrounds the entire composition. |
