Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Charles Eugen facing right, rendered in high relief in the Baroque style, wearing armour with elaborate decorative detailing at the shoulder. The portrait is surrounded by a circular Latin legend reading CAROLVS D: G: DVX WURT: & T:, divided by the bust. The rim is milled with a fine border.

Reverse description The quartered coat of arms of Württemberg, surmounted by a royal crown and flanked on either side by palm and laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon. The date is split across the field with 17 to the left and 60 to the right of the crown. Below the arms, in the exergue, the mint master initials FM appear between ornamental stops. The circular Latin motto PROVIDE ET CONSTANTER surrounds the design.
