Obverse description Armored bust of Duke Charles Eugen facing right, depicted in elaborate plate armor with decorative rococo flourishes at the shoulder and a lace cravat at the throat. The hair is long and curled in the contemporary baroque fashion, falling to the shoulders. The Latin legend arcs around the periphery, divided by the bust, reading CAROLVS D.G. DVX WURT. & T. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail, characteristic of mid-18th century German court engraving.
