Obverse description Draped bust of Abbot Charles of Lorraine facing right, depicted in clerical attire with an ornate collar, the hair rendered in a naturalistic early Baroque style. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the circular Latin legend surrounding it in the outer field. The portrait conveys both ecclesiastical authority and aristocratic bearing characteristic of abbatial coinage of the period.
