Obverse description Centrally placed ornate cartouche bearing the quartered arms of Electoral Saxony — featuring the crossed swords of the Margraviate of Meissen — flanked by elaborate foliate and strapwork mantling. Two crossed swords are prominently displayed over the shield, referencing the electoral dignity. The circular Latin legend reads around the entire periphery within a beaded border.
