Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Duke Antoine of Lorraine facing left, depicted with long flowing hair beneath an ornate crown, wearing plate armor visible at the shoulder and collar. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the ducal title legend inscribed in the outer field. The portrait is rendered in a late Gothic to early Renaissance style, typical of early sixteenth-century Lorraine coinage. The Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery, separated from the central device by the beaded border.
