Obverse description Elaborately quartered and subdivided coat of arms of the Schwarzburg counts, surmounted by three ornate crested helmets with mantling, supported by wild men or lions on either side. The complex achievement of arms fills the field, with the date divided across the upper portion of the shield. The circular Latin legend runs along the inner border of the beaded rim, naming the five ruling counts jointly.
