| Reverse description | Large laureate and draped bust of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I facing right, depicted in highly detailed Baroque style with a flowing curled wig and armoured shoulders adorned with a gorget and pauldron. The effigy fills the majority of the inner field and is contained within a raised double circle. The circumferential legend, in Roman capitals separated by star stops, reads IMP CAES LEOPOLDVS P F GER HVN BOH REX, proclaiming his imperial and royal titles. The engraving exhibits the elaborate Baroque craftsmanship characteristic of late seventeenth-century Augsburg coinage. |
