Obverse description Full-length facing figure of St. John the Baptist standing, holding the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) in his left arm, rendered in high relief within a baroque composition. The circular Latin legend is interrupted by the date at its conclusion, while the mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue below the figure. The design exhibits the refined engraving style characteristic of early eighteenth-century North German municipal coinage.
