Obverse description Central field depicts a detailed panoramic view of the city of Augsburg, showing the skyline with multiple towers, spires, and civic buildings rendered in fine relief. In the foreground, a prominent pine cone — the traditional heraldic symbol of Augsburg — is displayed on an ornate pedestal above decorative scrollwork. The date 1658 appears in the lower portion of the city view, flanked by decorative elements. The encircling legend AVGVSTA VINDELICORVM runs along the outer border, separated from the central design by a beaded inner ring. The overall composition is executed in the elaborate baroque style typical of seventeenth-century German civic coinage.
