| Reverse description | Double-headed Imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head surmounted by a separate crown and the whole ensigned by a central imperial crown at the top. A scepter and orb are visible at the breast, and an ornamental shield or breast-plate occupies the center of the eagle's body. The surrounding legend, within a beaded border, carries the imperial titulature of Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor, reading FERDIN·II·D·G·ROM·IMP·S·AVGVS, abbreviating Ferdinandus II, Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus. Small rosette stops separate the legend elements. |
