Obverse description A winged cherub stands facing in the center of the field, flanked by three heraldic shields: the Nuremberg eagle displayed at top center within an ornate cartouche, the city's quartered arms to the lower right, and a florally decorated shield to the lower left. The cherub's outstretched wings frame the composition symmetrically, lending a Baroque decorative character to the design. The encircling legend reads MONETA.NOUA.ARGENTEA.REIP:NORIMBERG., denoting this as the new silver coinage of the Republic of Nuremberg. The coin's rim is defined by a fine beaded border.
