Obverse description Central field displays a detailed view of the fortified city gate of Lüneburg, rendered with three towers — a taller central tower flanked by two lower flanking towers — connected by crenellated walls with an arched gateway at the base. A small shield bearing the Lüneburg lion is positioned within the arch. The composition is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with a Latin legend running along the outer periphery.
