Obverse description Facing view of the principal church of Hamelin with two flanking towers surmounted by pointed steeples adorned with finials and cross-shaped ornaments. The city arms, depicting a wheel, are displayed prominently in the central portal of the church facade. The date 1558 appears in the field between the two towers. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the entire design within a milled border.
