| Obverse description | Central field displays the semi-oval papal coat of arms of Urban VIII (Barberini family), charged with three bees arranged two and one, enclosed within an ornate cartouche with scrolling acanthus mantling. Above the shield are the crossed keys of Saint Peter and the papal tiara, all rendered in high relief. A rope-twist inner border frames the design, with the circular Latin legend distributed around the periphery. |
