| Obverse description | Central field features the papal coat of arms of Pope Pius VI displayed on a squared shield, decorated with a fleur-de-lis and diagonal band, and surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys. The shield is flanked by elaborate foliate and acanthus scroll mantling, with additional ornamental devices in the field. The circumferential legend, separated by pellets, reads PIVS·SEXTVS PONT·M·A·XI, identifying the pontiff and his regnal year. The coin's rim is bordered by a continuous raised beaded collar. |

| Reverse description | Two standing figures of the Apostles Saints Peter and Andrew are depicted in high relief against a radiate glory emanating from above at the center. Saint Peter stands to the left, robed and draped, holding the keys of heaven, while Saint Andrew stands to the right, partially draped and holding his attribute. Between the figures, a small papal tiara device appears at the base, with the date 1785 divided and flanking the central device in the exergue area. The encircling legend SANCTVS·PETRVS·SANCTVS·ANDREAS identifies the two saints, separated by pellets, within a beaded border. |
