| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the pointed papal arms of Pius VI, featuring a vertically divided shield with lilies and a diagonal band, surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of St. Peter. The shield is flanked on either side by tasseled cordons, characteristic of pontifical heraldic display. The legend encircles the design along the periphery, with the mint mark T·M visible in the lower exergue. The overall composition is executed in a refined Neoclassical engraving style consistent with late 18th-century Roman coinage. |
