Reverse description Two standing apostolic figures face one another in the field: at left, Saint Peter, nimbed and fully draped in classical robes, extends his right hand while holding the keys of heaven; at right, Saint Andrew, partially draped and nimbed, gestures toward him, his rugged bearing characteristic of the fisherman-apostle. Between the figures at the base, a small papal tiara and crossed keys appear as a mint device above the date 1790 in the exergue. Radiating divine rays emanate from above, filling the upper field. The surrounding legend SANCTVS·PETRVS·SANCTVS·ANDREAS runs along the beaded border, identifying both saints.
