| Obverse description | Displayed imperial eagle with spread wings, crowned, occupying the central field within a beaded or linear circle. The eagle is shown with detailed feather rendering typical of Renaissance-era hammered coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading the ruler's name and titles. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. The overall style reflects the heraldic conventions of the northern Italian lordships of the sixteenth century. |
