| Obverse description | Crowned bust of Louis XII facing right, depicted with shoulder-length hair and draped in armor, within a beaded inner circle. The king wears an elaborate crown surmounted by a fleur-de-lis finial. The surrounding legend reads LVDOVICVS D G FRANCORVM REX, interrupted at the base by the truncation of the bust, rendered in a late Gothic Renaissance style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Italian hammered coinage. |
