Obverse description The obverse displays the papal coat of arms of Clement XIII in high relief, centrally positioned within an elaborate Baroque cartouche of acanthus scrollwork. The quartered shield incorporates the Rezzonico family arms — featuring diagonal bends and towers — surmounted by the triple-crowned papal tiara flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter. The heraldic composition is rendered in fine engraved detail characteristic of the Hamerani workshop. The circumferential legend reads CLEMENS · XIII PONT · M · A · VI · around the inner border, with the coin edge bearing a fine milled bead pattern.
