Reverse description A large, elaborately ornamented Baroque cartouche with bold acanthus and scroll flourishes at the corners occupies the entire field, enclosing the four-line devotional inscription QVÆRITE VT ABVNDETIS in Roman capitals with the date in Roman numerals MDCCXXXIV below. A small heraldic shield, believed to represent the mint mark of Rome, appears at the base of the cartouche. The composition is contained within a finely milled border, with no peripheral legend.
