Kökböri — the Grey Wolf — occupies a foundational place in Turkic cosmology as the mythological ancestor-guide of the Turkic peoples, a figure documented in sources as early as the 6th-century Göktürk inscriptions. Kazakhstan's investment silver program has increasingly used these culturally specific subjects to distinguish its bullion output from generic precious-metal coinage, a deliberate positioning against the crowded Western bullion market. The interference rainbow coating is applied post-strike through a thin-film oxidation process, producing iridescent color without pigment or enamel.
