| Obverse description | Central device features the crowned coat of arms of Grand Master Emmanuel de Rohan, consisting of a quartered shield displaying the arms of the Order of Malta impaled with the Rohan family arms, supported on either side by the wings of an eagle displayed. The princely crown surmounts the shield, with a small Maltese cross appearing at the apex above the crown. The circular legend reads F EMMANUEL DE ROHAN M, arranged around the periphery, with a beaded inner border and a milled outer rim. |

Two small six-pointed stars flank the central device at the mid-field position on either side. The Latin legend CONCUTIATIS NEMINEM — meaning 'harm no one' — is arranged in two arcs around the periphery, reading along the upper and lower fields respectively, separated by the flanking stars.
