| Obverse description | Central field contains a four-line Kufic Arabic inscription enclosed within a plain inner circle, incorporating the ruler's name and titles. A marginal Kufic legend surrounding the inner circle records the mint name and regnal year. The lettering is executed in the bold, angular Fatimid Kufic style inherited from earlier Sicilian Islamic coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly scalloped at the periphery, characteristic of hammered Norman-Sicilian gold tarì of this period. |

| Reverse description | Central field bears a four-line Kufic Arabic inscription enclosed within a plain inner circle, continuing the religious and administrative formulae typical of Norman-Sicilian tarì coinage derived from Fatimid prototypes. A circular marginal Kufic legend surrounds the inner circle. The overall design closely follows the Fatimid quarter-dinar tradition, with horizontally divided text panels separated by ruled lines. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregularity in shape and thickness. |
