| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Philip V of Spain facing right, rendered in high relief with flowing long curly hair characteristic of the late Baroque style. The portrait is youthful and idealized, with the king wearing armor partially visible at the truncation. The circular Latin legend reads PHILIP·V·D·G·REX·HISP·ET·NEAP around the periphery, with the mintmaster initials IM appearing in the lower exergue. The coin is struck within a prominent milled border of fine radial denticles. |
