Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, typical of the hammered coinage of the Gujarat Sultanate. The legend records the royal titles and name of Sultan Nasir ud-Din Mahmud Shah I. A partial border of dots or linear design frames the inscribed field at the periphery. The die is slightly off-center, resulting in partial truncation of the legend at the edges, consistent with the irregular flan characteristic of hammered billon issues of this series.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering ناصر الدين محمود شاه
