| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by a bold, multi-line Arabic-script legend in raised relief, executed in the characteristic angular and interlaced style of Gujarat Sultanate coinage. The inscription fills the flan from rim to rim without a border, with the text arranged in horizontal registers across the field. The lettering reads the royal epithet of Sultan Nasir ud-Din Mahmud Shah III, proclaiming his titles as sovereign. The striking is typical of the hammered technique, resulting in an irregular flan with slightly uneven margins. |
