| Obverse description | Struck in billon, the obverse bears a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script distributed across the irregular flan, reading 'Firuz Shah Sultani darabat bi-Hadrat Dehli' (struck by Firuz Shah, Sultan, at the Sublime Court of Delhi). The inscription is arranged in horizontal registers within the field, with characteristic bold strokes typical of Tughluq-period epigraphy. The flan edges are uneven, reflecting the hand-struck hammered production technique standard for Delhi Sultanate coinage of this period. |
