Obverse description Hammered silver tanka of the Tughluq dynasty, bearing multiple lines of Arabic script in the Naskh style filling the entire field. The inscription, executed in bold raised relief, records the royal titles and name of Sultan Firuz Shah Tughluq, ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. The hijri regnal year appears in Arabic numerals in the lower portion of the die, with variant dates recorded across the reign from AH 770 to AH 782. The flan is characteristically irregular and somewhat thick, consistent with hammered coinage of the Delhi Sultanate period.

Reverse description Hammered field bearing multiple lines of Arabic inscription in Naskh script, continuing the sultan's titles and the Sunni Muslim profession of faith (Kalima). The legends are arranged in horizontal registers across the die, with bold raised lettering typical of Tughluq-period coinage. The reverse design complements the obverse, together forming the complete epigraphic program standard for Delhi Sultanate silver tankas of this era.
