Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in calligraphic Naskh script, reading 'Abu'l Muzaffar Ala al-Dunya wa'l-Din Ahmad Shah bin Ahmad Shah al-Wali al-Bahmani', the royal titulature of Sultan Ala-ud-Din Ahmad Shah II. The inscription is arranged in four or five horizontal lines filling the flan, with floral or linear marginal ornaments framing the legend. The hammered fabric displays characteristic irregular flan edges and a bold, slightly raised script typical of Bahmani silver coinage.
