Obverse description Square flan with bold Arabic calligraphic legend filling the field in multiple lines, reading: al-sultan al-halim al-karim 'ala' al-dunya wa'l-din. The inscription, executed in characteristic Khalji-period Naskh script, occupies the full face of the coin with deeply struck raised lettering. The legends are arranged in horizontal registers across the irregular square surface, typical of Malwa Sultanate hammered coinage.
