| Reverse description | A standing figure of Saint Philip (São Filipe), depicted in full length holding a tall cross or staff at his left side, occupies the central field. The initials S and F, abbreviating São Filipe, appear to the left and right of the figure in the mid-field. The date is divided across the lower portion of the field, split as 16 and 40 (or the relevant year), flanking the lower part of the saint's figure. A beaded border runs around the entire circumference of the die. |
