Additional information

Queen Debsirindra died in 1861, two decades before this coin was struck, which makes the attribution worth examining carefully. These pieces were issued under Rama V (Chulalongkorn) as memorial or ceremonial issues honoring his mother, who had died when he was eight years old and never lived to see his reign. The tamlueng denomination itself — equivalent to four baht — places this squarely in the traditional Thai weight-based monetary system that Chulalongkorn was simultaneously beginning to reform under Western pressure.
