Obverse description The National Coat of Arms of Western Samoa is centred within a circular guilloche vignette to the left of centre, enclosed by decorative side panels incorporating traditional Samoan motifs, with denomination numerals at each corner. To the right, an intaglio-engraved coastal vignette shows a fishing vessel on calm waters before a mountainous island silhouette. A facsimile signature of the Senior Manager appears below the central vignette, with bilingual Samoan and English inscriptions running across the upper and central fields.

Reverse description The central vignette presents a traditional Samoan open-sided thatched fale set among coconut palms on a coastal shoreline, rendered in finely detailed intaglio engraving. Circular guilloche rosettes bearing the denomination are positioned at left and right, bordered by panels of traditional Samoan patterning. Bilingual denomination inscriptions appear at lower left and right, with the issuing authority name along the bottom margin.
