The Kotah mint mark appears within the field as an identifying device. The numerals denoting the regnal year are the primary feature, with example dates ranging from RY 4 (1860) to RY 41 (1898), corresponding to the reign of Queen Victoria. The overall execution is typical of the rough workshop style prevalent in Kotah State copper coinage of this period. |
