| Obverse description | The obverse displays the regional name 'WEST FRISIÆ' arranged in three horizontal lines across the field in large, bold Roman capital letters, filling the coin face in a distinctive typographic layout. A mint privy mark (here a turnip) flanked by two six-pointed stars is positioned in the upper field above the lettering.
