Obverse description The obverse displays a bold four-line Latin inscription filling the field, reading WEST / FRI / SI / AE in large raised letters arranged in a stacked format. A privy mark composed of floral and decorative elements appears prominently above the inscription in the upper field. The date is positioned at the bottom of the design beneath the inscription. The coin's milled edge is clearly visible surrounding the flat field, with no additional border legend. The overall design is stark and typographic, characteristic of Dutch provincial gold coinage of the 18th century.
