| Obverse description | Central field displays a tilted heraldic shield bearing the arms of Oldenburg, surmounted by a crested helmet with decorative mantling rendered in the late Gothic style. The composition occupies the majority of the flan, with the helmet crest rising toward the upper margin. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading the count's abbreviated title and territorial designation. The strike, typical of early sixteenth-century hammered coinage, is somewhat irregular, with moderate relief and die wear evident across the field. |

| Reverse description | A long voided cross dominates the central field, with a small star or lozenge-shaped ornament at the intersection of the arms. The four quadrants created by the cross arms are plain, consistent with the austere design vocabulary of north German late medieval coinage. A circular Latin legend in Gothic lettering surrounds the cross, terminating in the Roman numeral date of issue. The legend reads as an anno Domini formula, providing the regnal dating for the emission. |
