Obverse description Central field features the elaborately intertwined crowned cypher of Elector Charles Theodor (CT), rendered in an ornate Baroque script style. The monogram is surmounted by a princely crown and occupies nearly the entire field. A continuous circular legend surrounds the central device, reading CT GULICH UND BERG LANDMUNZ, denoting the issuing authority of the Duchies of Jülich and Berg. The coin's border exhibits fine milling.
