| Obverse description | Crude seated figure of the king or deity depicted in frontal or near-frontal pose, rendered in the debased post-Hunnic style characteristic of medieval Kashmir coinage. The figure occupies the central field, with schematic limbs and garment details visible in low relief. Pellets and geometric decorative elements are distributed around the periphery of the irregular flan. The overall composition reflects the artistic conventions of the Lohara dynasty period, showing significant stylistic debasement from earlier Kushano-Sasanian prototypes. A Nagari legend reading "Ananda Deva" is associated with the obverse field. |
