Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Frederik V facing right, rendered in high relief in the classical Baroque tradition. The king wears a wreath of laurel leaves tied with a ribbon at the nape of the neck, with flowing hair visible beneath. The truncation is plain. The encircling Latin legend reads FRIDERICUS V D G REX DAN NORV VAND G, with the engraver's initials I.H.W. positioned at the lower right of the field. The portrait exhibits fine detail in the facial features and drapery, characteristic of the work of engraver Johan Henrik Wolff.
